Pcie X1 Slot Not Working

I rma it and get new z170 (gaming pro) but with last updated bios 0802 still not detect pcie_x1 dvb cards. There are three possible culprits.

I test it and it work on pcie x16 but not on the pcie x1 slot and i use the x16 for my graphics card.

The x1 slot has a pcie 2.0 hard drive controller. If you have windows errors then it's highly recommended that you download and install this windows repair tool. I try all pcie_x1 slots.

The most common pcie generation at the moment is the pcie gen 3. 1 x pcie 2.0 x16 1 x pcie 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black) *1 2 x pcie 2.0 x1 3 x pci *1: The pciex16_2 slot shares bandwidth with the pciex1_1 slot, pciex1_2 slot and usb3_34 connector.

The video card is too wide to try in the black x16 slot to test enable or disable setting for usb, with no distinction between slots. Check dvb card and test other dvb cards. I received a fenvi ax200 wifi card and tried installing it into the pcie x1 slot (which the fenvi manual says it supports).

So in general, the x1 graphics card should work in any slot and if it doesn't it's likely a bios issue or limitation. The pciex16_2 runs at x1 mode by default for system resource optimization. I got a elgato hd60 pro and added it to the system in my sig.

The bandwidth of each x1 slot doubles with consecutive (newer) generations. If your onboard video adapter doesn't work, and resetting the cmos doesn't work, you can try putting the pci express x16 video card you have now into the white pcie x4 slot (the white video card slot next to the black pcie x16 slot), and see if you can get into the bios to change the pci x 16 setting. If the card works then it’s either the mother board or the psu.

It might work in the x4 slot. I just purchased a usb 3.0 controller which is also x1. Anyway, try the x1 card in the x16 slot as it's not clear that's where you inserted it.

The gen 3 x1 slot has a throughput of about 1 gb/s, as can be seen in the table above. I moved it to a x16 slot and it worked and i have since moved it to the top x1 slot above my gpu and it works in that one. I bought new pc parts and something isnt working.

This is a dual slot card, meaning it covers the first available pcie 1x slot. I tried the hd controller in the x16 slot and it, too, did not work. I just did a new build, and everything has been working ok.
